Parviz Maftoon is Associate Professor of teaching English at Azad University, Science and Research Branch, Tehran, Iran. He received his Ph.D. degree from New York University in 1978 in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. His primary research interests concern EFL writing, second language acquisition, and syllabus design. He has published and edited a number of research articles and books. He is currently on the editorial board of several language journals in Iran.

Parisa  Daftarifard is currently a PhD student at Azad university, Science and Research Branch, Tehran, Iran. She received her MA degree from Iran University of Science and Technology in 2002. She has published some articles in international pear reviewed Journals. Also she has presented some articles in different international conferences. Her primary research interests concerns EFL reading, testing, and second language acquisition.
